CJB's - The Company

CJB's Surf Co was founded in 1997 by Carey John Brown. The vision was to create a surf hardware wholesale company that was pure to the roots of surfing and looked after its customers as a No.1 priority.

Carey's start in the UK surf industry was not at all glamorous, it was making wetsuits in the late 60's with his Uncle Dennis in a garden shed – this was the beginning of Europe's first wetsuit brand. This lead on to the creation of Europe's largest wetsuit manufacturing base (right here in Cornwall). Carey's passion is firmly planted in wetsuits and all things associated with the sport of surfing.

Since 1997, Joyce his wife and Mark his son have become involved in the company and day to day running of the business. It's extremely hands on for all, and every team member takes on multiple tasks... whether it's van deliveries, warehouse work, sales or answering the phone and speaking to customers.

CJB's understand the importance of being up to date with all of the industry news as well as having a very high level of product and surf knowledge.

At CJB's we are only interested in gear that is needed to to get you in the water and and gear that help you stay in the water longer!
